Guide: Applying A JPEG Decal To A Surface In Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire 2.0

by The Wanderer on Friday, June 26th, 2009, under Pro/ENGINEER

As requested by a friend. This is for applying decals on a surface of a part.

First, we create a fill surface for the decal. In this example, I used a JPEG measuring 420 x 140 pixels, so I created a fill surface with the same aspect ratio (AR). Using other values are acceptable, but be aware that the AR might be skewed if you use incompatible values for the fill.

You might be wondering why I offset the fill surf. This is to prevent the decal from clipping. Try it without the offset surf and you will see what I mean.

The rest should be pretty self-explanatory. Leave a comment if you have any questions about this.
